Scheduling, tracking, and assigning Tasks
Tasks allow you to assign inspections or manual tasks to your users in Record360. Send notifications to your users while assigning and tracking work that needs to get done. Plus, use a webhook to stay in the loop when tasks are completed.
Tasks are available on Standard and Professional plans. Users on these plans will see a Tasks option on the left hand navigation on the dashboard as well as a tasks section in the mobile app.
Tasks vs Inspections
Record360 supports inspection tasks and manual tasks, which is determined by whether or not a task is configured to require an inspection or not.
- Inspection tasks enable users to quickly and easily kick start an inspection from their task notification or view in the mobile app. For example, an inspection task could be "Complete check-in inspection for Unit WM42."
- Manual tasks are great for tracking ad-hoc work that does not require a complete inspection. For example, a manual task could be "Add safety kit to tractor RHVN5678."
Assigning a Task or Inspection
Typically, tasks are created based off of some external trigger, like a unit arriving in the yard or a failed inspection. Based on the event, create an inspection, or manual, task. Tasks can be assigned to a user or left unassigned and picked up by users as needed from the dashboard or mobile app.
To get setup on a tasks integration, we recommend:
- Determine what should trigger a task from your system. This could be an automated action such as sending out a contract, or a user selecting a "create task" or "send to Record360" button in your system.
